Common questions

What do I need to run BallFallDown?

BallFallDown is built for iPad and requires iPadOS 15.0 or later.

Do I need an internet connection?

No. The app works entirely offline. It does not need a connection to build, save, or run a board.

Does the app collect any data about me or my kids?

No. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no advertising. Everything you build stays on your device. The privacy policy has the full detail.

The simulation slows down when there are lots of balls. Is that a bug?

Not usually. A board with several hundred balls in motion asks a lot of the physics engine. Removing a few dispensers or emptying the board with the trash can will bring the frame rate back up. If it stutters with only a handful of parts on screen, that is worth reporting.

I lost a board I built. Can I get it back?

Boards are saved locally on your device. If the app was deleted, the saved boards went with it, and we have no copy — we never receive them. A device backup made before deleting the app may contain them.

How do I report a bug or ask for a feature?

Email us. Tell us what you were doing, what happened, and which iPad and iPadOS version you are on. Screenshots help enormously.

Refunds and purchases

All purchases are handled by Apple, not by us, so we cannot issue refunds directly. Apple takes refund requests at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something about the app is not working, email us first — we would rather fix it.

Privacy

BallFallDown collects no personal information. The full privacy policy explains exactly what that means.
